Lately :)

I've been SO busy lately to even think about updating our blog... but realized how much I love looking at other peoples' blogs. So here it goes, our life lately has consisted of:

*We celebrated my little brother Tanner's birthday. He's 17 years old! So crazy. Happy Birthday Tanner! Love you tonz.

* My dad, Tanner, and Nate went on a last minute trip to California to pick up a new boat. It's so sweet! So we took it out for a spin the day after they got home and had a blast!

It's a tradition that whoever surfs, has to wear the neon orange hat.

* On the 4th of July, Nate and I decided to our own thing this year and just do fireworks ourselves. We brought along Roxy for her first time to see how she'd react to it. This is what happened.

Here she is VERY interested in what is going on.

After the first firework went off, she FREAKED OUT!

Followed by her jumping on my lap for some comfort from the fireworks.

And then... ended up under the car. ha ha poor thing.

*Nate works downtown, so every once in a while when I'm off of work, Roxy and I will meet him for lunch at Memory Grove. Roxy loves to play in the little pond and with all the other dogs. This is her favorite thing to do. It is so fun to watch her.

* Nate has a new hobby that he has become, well, obsessed with. It's fishing! He goes any few second he has. Not gonna lie, I got alittle jealous. So I bought myself a fishing license! ha ha. Next thing I know, Nate bought me a bright pink fishing pole! It's so stinkin cute!

*Last, but not least... I have the most amazing husband in the world! After almost one year and a a half of marriage, we have yet to have cable tv. This has been very hard for me, considering the family of all boys that I come from where the TV is on 24/7. Anyways, we finally ordered DISH. Nate decided to make a fun night out of it. So when I got home, this is what I walked into.

The red carpet with all of my favorite actors/actresses names on stars.

With ours at the end :)

Then with a TV dinner to watch in front of the TV. (This was my very first TV dinner ever... and it was NASTY. But the thought was so cute! )

At th end of the red carpt, there was our table in the middle of the family room with candles. So we sat in front of the TV and ate our TV dinners. It was so cute and thoughtful of him. YAY for TV!!!

Our HUGE fight!

So the other night, I noticed Nate was in our den reading. I decided to sit at my desk next to him and write Zach on his mission. Before I knew it, this is what happened...

He OBVIOUSLY got me so much worse than I got him, but it was a blast! I'm so grateful I have a husband who is fun and can play around. I love him so much.

A little worn out after the fight! ha ha

BAHAMAS!!!!

Last week, I surprised Nate (well almost a surprise) to a Bahamas Cruise. It was SO much fun! It's always nice to get away from the real world and spend all week together. We get along best when we are on vacation :) So first of all, many of you knew that i planned this all by myself and was going to surprise Nate. Well, I made it 4 months of planning and telling family and friends about this trip without Nate finding out. I was very secret about everything. It was kinda fun. Well, we landed in Florida and Nate still had no idea. I go and talk to our taxi driver while Nate was grabbing our bags and I told the taxi guy where we wanted to go and that it was a surprise. He nodded and seemed like he understood... WRONG! As soon we got into the taxi, he blew it! "You goin on a cruise" he said. I was so upset that I wouldn't even look at Nate. It was kinda funny that he found out that way though. Oh well. The trip turned out perfect and I wouldn't have changed it for anything! Here are some pics of our adventure. Enjoy!

Our room was decorated for our anniversary!

The sweet statue we found :)

Formal night where our server sang "Happy Anniversary" to us. It was so sweet. :) They even gave us a piece of cake to celebrate.

Our ice cream that we ate ALL DAY LONG! So good!

Best night ever!

ATLANTIS... SO COOL!

One Year Anniversary and My Best Friends Wedding!!

Last weekend was AMAZING!!! Nate and I celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I can't believe it's been a whole year already! Nate has been such a great husband and has never stopped treating me like a queen. He is so patient and sweet to me. I can't believe how lucky I am to have married the most perfect guy out there.

We were married on April 24th, 2009. It just so happens that my best friend Addie decided to get married on April 24th 2010. :) So... our anniversary weekend was spent with her and her wedding.

I did however wake up to the cutest breakfast in bed and flowers Saturday morning. It was so sweet. Saturday morning was pretty much the only time we would have to spend together for the day, so we tried to make it last as long as we could.

We went to Rodizio Grill Friday night for her rehersal dinner and then spent Saturday with her. The wedding ceremony at the temple was so sweet. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and couldnt have been more perfect. It was really cool to be at the same temple on the same day that we were married. It was a perfect way to remember our wedding day.

The new bride and groom! They are so freakin cute and so in love!

The wedding reception was so much fun! My other best friend Jessica and I were Addie's bridesmaids. We had alot of fun hanging out and eating all the brownies and ice cream they were serving! ha ha.

After it was all said and done, the wedding day was perfect. I'm so happy for Addie and for finding Sam and getting married in the temple. I've never seen her so happy before. Love you long time Ad!

P.S. I gave Nate a surprise trip for our anniversary so we can really celebrate! We leave May 10th. SO EXCITED!!!

~Happy Birthday Baby!!~

The Big 24!!!

This whole entire week has been Nate's birthday! It's been so much fun to celebrate with everyone on different days. Last friday, April 2nd was his actual birthday. He had to work :( so I got to go and have lunch with him. When he got home from work, I had a fun date night planned. First of all, I decorated the house for his big day. It was quite fun for me to do actually. I think I enjoyed it more than he did :)

He then chose to go to Red Robin... YUM for his birthday dinner. It was SO good! We love that place!
Then after dinner I took him to a surprise! It was something that he has always wanted to do. We went PAINTBALLING!! It was a blast! I don't recommend wearing tight jeans though... OUCH! But it was still so much fun!

When we got home, we got into our sweats, watched a movie and then opened presents and had cake and ice cream.

It was such a fun day to spend together. Throughout the week we had a birthday dinner at his parents house, then at my parents house. My grandparents took him out to dinner last night and tonight we went out with all of his friends to dinner and poker night. The week is officially over... Until next year sweetheart! Hope you had a great birthday! You deserve every bit of it. I love you with all my heart. MUAH!

The Johnson Family

Hey everyone! So I finally caved and decided to blog. It just looked like so much fun! I'm VERY new at this and would love any fun ideas/creative tips :)

A little background on our family... My husband Nate and I both graduated from Hillcrest High School. We knew "of" eachother because of mutual friends, but never really talked or hung out together. A few nights before he left on his mission, he over heard me saying that I didn't know how to drive a stick shift car so he offered to teach me. We went on a good drive, stopped at a park and talked for hours. He even took me up the canyon for a fun drive. After that night, I didn't see him until he got home from his mission.

We "re-met" at a stoplight in April of 2008 and since that night I told myself I wouldn't let him out of my sight. We were engaged September 2008 (at the same stoplight)

We were then married on April 24, 2009 on our one year anniversary.

I still can not believe we've been married for almost a year! Time flys when you're having fun!
We were fortunate enough to buy a house in Draper and love it here! We bought our sweet puppy Roxy (not so much a puppy anymore though).

She's been a sweetheart and so much fun to have around the house.
We love every minute of life and couldn't be a happier family!
